Lagos PDP Governorship candidate, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) has said that it is evident that the people of the state are now wiser after 4 years of inhuman administration under the Sanwo-Olu-led APC government and that they will no longer fall for the last-minute window-dressing by an incompetent set of experimental guinea pigs who have foisted themselves on the masses over the years.
JANDOR in his reaction to a statement credited to Mr. Sanwo-Olu at the kick-off of his re-election campaign on Wednesday during the Ehingbeti Summit stated that the people of Lagos will not put themselves under further slavery because of last-minute fake promises from the outgoing government.
Sanwo-Olu by his outburst intended to hoodwink Lagosians by distracting them from the perennial failure, unfulfilled promises, and infrastructural decays that define his four years as Governor with more fake promises to the people who are already seeking ways out of their long years of enslavement by the ruling party.
Dr. Adediran appraised the challenges confronting the state in the last 4 years and urged well-meaning Lagosians to no longer play the ostrich but to remain steadfast in their resolution to install a true government of the people and enjoy a breath of fresh air in 2023.
JANDOR remarked that good governance is not rocket science as claimed by the failed APC government but that it primarily entails prioritizing the interest of the people, listening to the voices of the oppressed in the decision-making process, responding actively to the immediate and future needs of the state, and eradicating corruption.
The People’s Governor maintained that the state can no longer be controlled by the stooges of an individual who are only in service to corner the wealth of the state to themselves and their master. He averred that endemic corruption and crass ineptitude of the incumbent administration has stunted the growth and development of the state.
“Lagosians have been so much taken for granted in the last 23 years by successive administrations with the current as the worst.
JANDOR stated that at least the administration of Akinwunmi Ambode in his four years had four bridges which are the Abule-Egba, Ajah, Agege, and the International Airport road Flyovers to his 4 years in office. But Sanwo-Olu, despite increasing both the local and foreign debt of the state, has no single completed project on the street of Lagos to justify the huge debt he has plunged the state into.
“He has failed and Lagosians will not re-elect failure”, JANDOR said.

Oluyemi Aina Movie star Seun Egbegbe bags 7 years jail ‘with hard labour’
The Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced Nollywood filmmaker and producer, Olajide Kareem, aka Seun Egbegbe, to seven years imprisonment ‘with hard labour’ for fraud.
Kareem, who had been in detention for 57 months since his arrest in 2017, was however regain freedom to go home having exceeded the imprisonment time in detention.
Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo sentenced Kareem on Tuesday, October 11 after convicting him of one of the 44-count charge filed against him by the police, according to the judgment obtained by The Nation on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
The trial began on May 10, 2017, and on Tuesday, October 11, Justice Oguntoyinbo found Egbegbe guilty of count 19 of the 44-count charge filed against him and set him free.
The judge also freed the four other defendants.
Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo declared that 43 of the 44 counts crumbled because of a lack of witnesses to substantiate their claims.
She also decried that the prosecuting team failed in the responsibility to produce evidence, to be backed with witnesses on counts 4, 19 and 21.
The judge also said that police tampered with the money recovered from the suspects and ruled that all the money recovered from Egbegbe as evidence should be returned to him.
Justice Oguntoyinbo held: “Having considered the entirety of the circumstances and taking judicial notice of the allocutus, I hereby sentence the 1st Defendant (Kareem) to imprisonment for a term of Seven {7} years with hard labour, only in respect of Count 19 of the Amended Charge.
“The term is to begin from the very first date the 1st Defendant was detained in police custody and/or remanded in prison, whichever comes first. I so hold. This is to send a clear message to all and sundry, the young and as well as the old, the unknown and the famous that, regardless of the number of days a crime goes unpunished, the law would definitely take its course in due course.
“Most importantly, the prosecution witnesses’ contradictory testimonies have failed to satisfy the exact various sums of money contained in the majority of the unviable and unsupported counts of charges filed against the 1st Defendant. I so hold.
“From the avalanche of evidence before this Honourable Court, it is crystal clear the Nigerian Police tampered with the various sums of money collected from the 1st & 2nd Defendants. The serial number of the various sum of money was not recorded by the Exhibit Keeper nor the Exhibit Ledger tendered before this Honourable Court.
“The Nigerian Police Force, Lagos State Police State Criminal Investigation & Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba and the entire Lagos Police Command and sadly its Legal Department have failed in the discharge of these solemn responsibilities to present the actual exhibits before this Honourable Court. I so hold.
“These law enforcement agencies should not be seen to play hanky – panky with crucial items necessary for the determination of issues of this ilk. I so hold.
“Therefore, I am inclined to direct the registrar of this Honourable Court to return the 1st & 2nd Defendant’s sums of money entered as exhibits before this Honourable Court back to the 1st and 2nd Defendants respectively. I so hold.
“I hereby acquit and discharge the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Defendants from the charges levelled against them.
“This is the judgment of this Honourable Court read in an open court.”
The actor was arraigned by the police in February 2017 on 36 counts of advance fee fraud involving N39 million; $90,000 and £12,550.
The police alleged that he fraudulently obtained the money from no fewer than 40 Bureau De Change operators in Lagos for two years – 2015 to 2017.
Egbegbe, who once managed Fuji artistes, Wale Ayinde Tekoma and Pasuma, was said to have swindled the BDC operators.
He was accused of falsely telling them he had naira to change into foreign currencies and vice versa.
The erstwhile Lagos socialite pleaded not guilty and was remanded in prison custody on February 10, 2017, pending when he would satisfy the jail terms.
He was unable to meet the bail terms and remained in detention for 57 months of the trial.
The charge sheet was subsequently amended twice, with the counts eventually increased to 40 and three other defendants – Lawal Kareem, Olalekan Yusuf and Muyideen Shoyombo – added, making the defendants five.
The five Defendants entered pleas of not guilty to the 1st and 2nd counts while Kareem, the 1st Defendant, pleaded not guilty to the remaining thirty-eight counts.
Before his arrest, Egbegbe’s publicised affair with actress, Toyin Abraham, a few years ago shot him into the limelight.
Lagosians cry out about their experiences on all Lagos road, most especially abandoned roads, which was contracted out by the Lagos state government.
In a viral video circulating over the Internet, a young man was forced to come down from his car in traffic to address the Lagos state government on his ordeal in traffic and the hardship motorist were facing daily which makes life more complicated for Lagosians most especially, the people of the Awoyaya Ajah axis of Lagos state.
He expressed his displeasure and nonchalant attitude of the state government which make life unbearable for the Lagosians
According to the man whose name was not disclosed, he describes Lagos state government has been wicked, inhuman, and careless about the well-being of Lagosians.
He Alleged that contractors who’s the area was contracted, just scrapped the road and left which makes people spend hours on the road, most especially on working days.
He goes further to characterize Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s administration as a total failure. He said they are waiting for 2023 to come, when the governor will demand votes from the electorate.
Besides, he said Governor Sanwo-Olu has no empathy for Lagosians to know the effect of staying hours in traffic, without even thinking about the traumas and frustration the abandoned road cause people every day if he does, they won’t abandon construction roads without seeking alternative routes for people to reach their destinations.
Likewise, he said the physiological effect of hours spent in traffic on daily basis results in high blood pressure, which cut the lives of many Lagosians short.
He pleads with the state government to look into the situation and find a lasting solution to the suffering the gridlock is causing the people which is not even good for the economic growth of the state.

According to the governor, he stated that it’s alright if Obi becomes the president of Nigeria. perhaps, if it’s Tunubu, it’s also alright In as much the power comes to south according to the agitation of the southern governors.
5th of August will remain a memorable day till time fades into eternity. Yesterday was one. It was my birthday and my most precious life’s gifts; family and friends didn’t fail to spring their surprises. It started from my wife and children, and friends followed suit.
They succeeded in altering my schedule for the day. It was an open house. People from all walks of life were coming and leaving, old school mates were not left out. I was stuck at home till dusk. A tired me was heading for my room to retire for the day when Samuel my son accosted me; Dad! I turned, “I am off to church for rehearsal sir”, he said. I was either too trusting or tired to probe. Good night was my response as I made for my room.
At dawn, our online devotion, Word For Today started at 6:00AM, the tradition is for every member of our family to join, particularly when they are away from home.
Samuel should have, but he didn’t. Minutes after the devotional ended, my wife heard a sound from our gate and believed it must be Samuel. She turned to me and asked me to call out the sister to go and open the gate for him. But, I got out of bed to go attend to the gate. It is my tradition to see them in whenever they sleep out except if I am not aware. I got to the gate to realize it was an imagination of a mother’s heart for no one was at the gate.
I had barely settled back in my room when my phone rang, it was Samuel calling. I picked; “Daddy, I am at New Oko-Oba Police Station”, doing what? I inquired, “Arrested and detained Sir”, over what? I fired back. “I was in front of our church with two of my friends, one of them stopped a bike man, and I said to him, with the security situation in the Country, we must be careful with Okada riders because of Boko Haram. That was the offence my son committed.
I asked him, have you informed your Church? He said his pastor was there with him at tge Police Station. I left home with my wife and got there in time to witness the extraction of statements!
Except we want to pretend about official and local intelligence reports that are available in the public. We are required to be very vigilant because of Boko Haram, which is one of the reasons His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and The Lagos State Government banned okada in Lagos State.
Recently NSCDC issued an intelligence which reads thus; “Terrorists are planning to attack FCT, Lagos and 3 other States…
We have witnessed an attack on the Presidential Guard Bridgade in Abuja that left us embarrassed as a nation and we are today living with the threats issued by terrorists who promised to kidnapped the President and Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Retired General Muhammadu Buhari. Yet this Umar of an Alhaji is brazen enough to carry himself in public like one.
Fagba, where the incident took place, in recent time has become a black spot, people are attacked and robbed there, I can cite examples, my tailor Victor, and Lawyer Barrister Segun Abioro, were both robbed at different times on the same road where my son stood to counsel his friends.
The dominant presence and unruly conduct of persons like Umar from Northern Nigeria in that neighbourhood is of concern to all law abiding citizens in the Area!
The Hausa okada rider confirmed my son’s position in his statement. He said he didn’t understand what my son said in Yoruba, but he heard only the words ‘Boko Haram’, and went to Fagba check point and asked the police to come and arrest my son.
Samuel, did you speak Yoruba when you were talking to your friends, he said no, which his friends confirmed, apparently the man is so poor in linguistics that he can tell English from Yoruba! Hausa and some cut and join pigin is the only way to communicate with him.
I have had reason to intervene in brewing criss between locals in my area on several occasions, on one of such, Ismail an okada man came handy, as we both discovered that the base of the crisis was the inability of the locals and the okada riders to understand one another. Ismail interpreted for the okada rider which led to my establishing a relationship with Ismail by getting his phone number. I have had to call him at other times and his always very responsive. Seeing the struggle the IPO was having at getting statement from the okada man. I called Ismail but his line didn’t connect.
At that time the antics of the mischievous system of harassment of locals by the Northern group dawned on me. I could only hope the institution of the Nigeria Police as an instrument of the Nigeria state will not be skewed against us because of our tribe in the Yoruba state of Lagos!
The Divisional Crime Officer, who was informed of the situation left without an attempt, he directed that the complainant and the accused should be kept till the Divisional Police Officer is around. The incident according to the information I read from the Okada rider’s statement happened at 5:55AM, this time it was about 8:00AM!
At about 11am, my fear was confirmed when one Fulani man came in, all the police officer on duty from the gate were hailing in manner that looked like official salutations. He asked the IPO, where is the boy? The IPO, Inspector Funmi, pointed at my son and informed him that the parents are also around. He said, I am not here for his parents, let go of the Okada rider, he can’t be waiting here for DPO, and transfer this case to Area Command, when I heard him and he had an ID card hanging on him, I thought he was a senior police officer from the Area Command so, I approached him in the most charitable way a law officer of the nation should be approached. Disappointedly, he wasn’t and doesn’t deserve such respect. The Identity Card on his chest was that of Miyetti Allah. The arrogance with which he carried his impunity met his match. I sent him to Buhari, if you know what I mean.
The man was later addressed as Alhaji Umar. What audacity of an ordinary citizen like myself ordering the movement of a case to the Area command and when the IPO said she was waiting for the DPO, he said tell the DPO I ordered the movement!
The aura of impunity with which he was giving orders to officers of the state was annoying and provocative!
All thanks to CP Abiodun Alabi whose responsiveness to information sent to his phone was very swift. He called to direct on what should be done and my son was released to me on bail!
The threats issued to me by the Alhaji Umar is absolutely inconsequential to me as a person, but it must be to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government whose security management of Lagos till date as been top notch. On security, no one should score his administration below average. Buhari led Federal Government of Nigeria who have never bothered about the damage his Miyetti Allah brethren have been doing to his image and that of his administration, must be concerned now!
“I am eager to go, it has been tough ruling Nigeria” – Muhammadu Buhari.
A President so frustrated by the conduct of his untamed brethren whom he can’t control nor will he allow the law to have its course should be in hurry to leave. While it’s like good radiance to bad rubbish, he should at least do the best about the memory of his exit, his case must not be; “bi oyinbo o ba lo” a su si aga” meaning one must not leave a relationship on a sour note! Our experience of his Presidency has been a sour taste. All peace loving Nigerians must be disturbed about the threat issued by Alhaji Umar; this is the same attitude they have put up in states like Benue, Kaduna and others. If we are waiting for a full blown lawlessness to know that Boko Haram has infiltrated us in Lagos we are making a mistake.
Lawless, impunity, lack of respect for the law and rights of others are usually the pathfinding traits before full blown jungle life, which is today the experience of Zamfara State where a wanted jungle lord of the forest is conferred with a Chieftaincy title in blantant amusement of a terrified state. The Yoruba age long saying, “Fulani ki se ewon” – Fulani can’t be locked or kept in jail – can no longer be denied. We have seen certain persons among them commit all kinds of crimes and get away with it. Umar, in the Premises of the Nigeria Police and in the witness of officers of the Nigeria police threatened to beat me to pulp and cares less if i die in the process. He went further to say I should dare him and step out of the police station if he will not make good his threat. I had to wait until he has gone before I left the police station. Not for fear, but because the fool didn’t weigh his threat that it was an invitation to civil war in an extremely tensed society due to the over bearing attitude of his tribe, his slap to my face in Abule-Egba Lagos would have been met with reaction he least prepared for!
As a matter of urgency, the Lagos State Government should host a town hall meeting in all communities where the arrogance of persons like him is causing his tribe the tension associated with them. With what I witnessed today, I lost my surprise to why the Fulani tribe is stigmatized as a trouble triggering tribe!
Pastor Sam Oluwatoye, Senior Pastor, The Lord’s Crew isn’t just a pastor, he is a father. I met him at the station and he won’t leave even when I pleaded with him to. He left only when his sheep was released. What a steward of God with a Shepherd’s heart, my salute to you Sir. Thanks for the influence you are to the younger generation in and around Abule-Egba, your sacrifice of time touched the father in me and I believe God the Father is equally touched, blessings to your work and ministry.
To all Lagosians, we must not be harassed to silence, be vigilant and if nobody will listen to you, I am sure our Ambassador of Peace, Abiodun Alabi will. Just a text to him saved the day, same number he gave out to the public. Sir, you were prompt, fair and just. The right of the bike man to justice is to lodge his complaint with the police, that of course he did. The right of Samuel to bail in such mischievous claim, you didn’t allow Umar to subjugate. That is effective policing.
We await Umar’s next step and I promise to keep the court of the public updated on the impunity of a Fulani lord in Lagos.
The emergency of Dr AbdulAzeez Olajide Adediran as PDP governorship flag bearer in Lagos state has changed the narrative of PDP’s failure of winning major election in Lagos since 1998 by setting up a think tank committee to lead the campaign team in five designed senatorial areas.
This made the Lagos east team led by Bob Tarner have their first inaugural meeting which lasted for 4 hours and made the team set the whirl in motion to ascertain victory come 2023.
The inaugural meeting of Lagos east senatorial committee held on Wednesday, 3rd of August 2023 at plot 7 No 47 Aladelola street of Kosofe local government. In the meeting which was led by the Deputy DG campaign for Jandor/Funke governorship election in Lagos come 2023 by Bob Tarner, was officially announced that the party senatorial district secretariat will be at the venue which was donated by one of the party loyalists.
The meeting which commenced at exactly 12:30 pm Nigerian time by 24 committee members had their first meeting at the newly opened party secretariat for the senatorial district. Basically, the team came together to proffer a concrete solution and way out of PDP’s failure to win a major election in Lagos state.
Bob Tarner, the Deputy Director General of Jandor/Funke said during his speech that he is ready to lead by example by making sure that Lagos east leads while others follow through, winning their senatorial district for Dr Olajide Adediran/Funke Akindele in the 2023 governorship election.
The think tank committee has promised to work with total commitment by bringing all machinery needed to deliver Lagos from the shackle of APC in Lagos state since INEC has brought a new approach which gives no vacuum for rigging as usual.
Danger looms since Atiku Abubakar chooses Gov. Okowa as his running mate without consulting Wike on the way forward for the party.
The runner-up in PDP presidential candidate Gov. Wike has been denied access to some vital decision-making of the party, since he has lost the presidential primary election to the formal vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Alhaji Atiku the presidential candidate of PDP has cried out that Gov. Wike has refused to pick up his calls, this was confirmed on the national TV yesterday. By the Gov. of Benue state Gov. Ortom who said, Wike, has been disfranchised from all information and decision from PDP since after the Primary Election. Most especially, on the decision to pick Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s running mate.
He goes further to narrate what transpired after the election in searching for the former vice president’s running mate. Gov. ortom said he doesn’t blame Wike for not picking up anybody’s call, but, the lame Atiku for not coming to Wike directly rather kept calling him on phone. Perhaps the outcome of the decision for deciding PDP presidential running mate, 14 out of 17 chose Wike to be the Vice President, but the presidential flag bearer chooses his preferred person without consulting Gov. Wike. This decision has made wike who has been the pillar of the party furious without picking up anybody’s call and began to wear a Yoruba cap since then, which is symbolic of showing it is the turn of the south.
In saner clime, loyalty is devotion and faithfulness to a cause, belief, philosophy, country, group, or person, in this context, it’s simply a two sides of a coin. Loyalty is reciprocal and not totally subjective.
But in Lere’s primordial perspective, loyalty is slavery, nothing more.
However, the reality of the turn by turn in nature, dawn on Lere yesterday, when his political future was to be traded off by his ONLY emperor like leader, former Gov Ayodele Fayose.
Fayose asked Lere to withdraw from the race after he (Lere) defeated his opponent with just 9 votes, which made Fayose to be seriously flabbergasted and embarrassed by such outcome..
Fayose attacked and came down hard on Lere and Bisi K that despite he (Lere), writing all the delegates list just 2 weeks ago, his opponent who had no single contribution to the names on the list was still able to get 45 votes out of the 99 names written solely by Lere as his own people. Especially and moreso from the same zone of the PDP Governorship candidate, Bisi K.
This to Fayose shows that Lere and Bisi K are completely not on ground in that constituency, and that if Lere can lose 45 votes out of his own people written by him within just two weeks ago, then it means the general election is as good as lost, hence Lere should withdraw from the race immediately.
But, this decision didn’t go down well with Lere and he vehemently ‘Fariga’ ( vehement rejection), in the presence of Fayose, citing it as wickedness of the highest order.
It is on record that Fayose, in this same manner asked all the 26 EKHA Candidates of PDP in the 2018 general election to withdraw because he did not want to sponsor anyone, and the first to formally withdraw through a letter to INEC, was the candidate from his town and constituency, Hon Omosilade.
What could’ve prompted Fayose to ask Lere to withdraw from the Race again just like he did to the EKHA Candidates when he actually won the primary?
Could it be that Lere’s loyalty is to be tested with hunger and denial of political progress, just as Fayose has done to several others?
Or is it not clear that, by refusing to withdraw after the instruction to do so amounts to Fayose betrayal by Lere’s usual standard?
Ordinarily it is not supposed to be but should the same Fayose asked someone else to step down and refused, the same Lere would’ve been all over the media, messing up and branding such person as disloyal and a betrayal.
To Lere, you MUST not have an opinion except Fayose’s thought at all time. Why is Lere having an opinion now??
Now, it is clear to him that there’s always a two sides to a coin, when issues have to do with loyalty and betrayal.
Many people believed that Lere would have just said “Thank You, sir” and withdraw without a rumpled and grumbling face but, No! He was heard fuming vehemently that he can’t surrender his mandate to anyone.
What will happened should Fayose insist that Lere must drop the mandate? Because the financial sponsorship of Lere is still a no go area from Fayose.
Or has Fayose cowardly chickened out for fear of Lere’s likely venomous reaction? Head or tail, Lere Olayinka should now know, that loyalty is a two way thing and with Fayose, his ambition is dead on arrival as usual.
