The Segun Oni Campaign Organization has accused the governor of Ekiti state, Dr KAYODE Fayemi of planing to import thugs from neighboring state for the purpose of disrupting Segun Oni rallies and rig the election proper on the 18th of June 2022.
The organization said that the governor and some of the leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have also concluded plans to procure police and army uniforms for the thugs and some members of the driver unions who will assist the party to cause mayhem before, during and after the election.

In a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, the Director of Media and Publicity, Segun Oni Campaign Organization, Mr Jackson Adebayo explained that the governor and some leaders of the All Progressive Congress met with the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mr OLUSEGUN Oso and a certain Kogi born merchant of thugs this week to finalize on the operations as it was planned.

According to the organization, the governor specifically gave the order at the meeting that all the drivers and thugs that will be so recruited must be specially trained for the assignment at a location in Okene, Kogi State.

At the meeting he informed them that he has been in touch with the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello to facilitate the arrangements and the location thereby their won’t be unnecessary exposure.

Adebayo added that a sum of Two Hundred Million (N 200,000,000) has been earmarked for the operations with any thug who will be ready to wear the fake army and police uniform to be paid handsomely.

He further alleged that the leadership of the driver unions have promised to assist the governor in this operations hence the meeting held by the governor and unions.

” It will be recalled that the leadership of the driver unions have in past Two months made it mandatory for all the drivers to paste Biodun Oyebamji ( APC candidate) big stickers on their vehicle if they want to be allowed to operate on Ekiti roads while at the same time forcing the drivers to pay sums ranging between N1,500 and 2,000; any driver who rebuffed are barred from operating their legitimate business.”

“We are calling on the Chief of Army Staff, the Inspector-General of police, Nigeria National Intelligence Agency and the Director General of the Department of state services to as a matter of urgency intervene in order to save Ekiti state from unnecessary threat to live and property while we call on the security agencies to swing into action by investigating the allegations as a matter of urgency.”

The good people of Ikere Ekiti has been told to disregard the rumours being spread by the Ekiti All Progressive Congress(APC) and its incompetent government that the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Segun Oni has planned to relocate the university at Ikere Ekiti to Ifaki if he is elected governor of the state.

In a press release issued in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday by Mr Jackson Adebayo, the Spokesman of Asiwaju Oni, he said that the APC had alleged that Oni held a secret meeting with the Ifaki Progressive Union assuring Ifaki people that he would relocate  the university in Ikere to Ifaki and reverse Ikere to its former College of Education.

He said, “Oni is a progressive and forward-looking man who doesn’t have a destructive mind of the APC-led government, adding that if Fayemi has destroyed all the good education plans he put on ground for the Ekiti people before he was removed courtesy the Salamigate, he will not act like him if he becomes the governor of the state.”
Oni said that the APC was already overwhelmed with fear of defeat and their is no going back because Ekiti people has really understood who they are.

The SDP candidate therefore assured Ikere people of more developmental programmes from his government.
He urged them and all Ekiti people to come out en mass to vote for him.

The convoy of the Segun Oni Campaign Organisation(SOCO) was brutally attacked with gunshots, cutlasses, sticks and stones by the fierce-looking thugs of the All Progress Congress (APC) at Efon Alaaye in Efon Local Government Area of Ekiti State yesterday.

According to a press statement issued by the Campaign Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Jackson Adebayo, the campaign trail which had successfully toured nine local governments since Monday and fully received by large turnout of members and supporters of the Social Democratic Party ( SDP) was attacked with gunshots, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons at the center of the town around 3.30pm.

Shortly after the Efon Local Government members and supporters of the SDP had converged at the venue to wait for the arrival of the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Segun Oni, the thugs started to shoot guns and attacked the SPD supporters with sticks and cutlasses.

Some supporters were badly injured and vehicles in the convoy were damaged by thugs before the arrival of a detachment of police which overpowered the thugs
An officer of the Nigeria Civil Defense Corps was not spare by the APC thugs as they attempted to snatch his gun. He was wounded but refused to surrender his gun.

The group of rubbers succeeds in their first mission by carting away their transformer and the distribution cables which subjected part of the community to total darkness

On Saturday night 12th of march, the group of rubbers came, as usual, to complete their mission by putting the whole community in total darkness by removing the second transformer at Oke Orin Iludun-Ekiti, not knowing that the whole town was waiting patiently for them. Six of them was apprehended at the middle of the night as two of them escaped.

They were paraded throughout the town before being handed over to the nearest police station.

The Flag bearer arrived at around 4:30 pm at Ikere Ekiti where the party leaders waited in receiving Him. His convoy was led by the Formal Ekiti state Governor. Mr Ayodele Fayose who has been supportive to Hon. Bisi Kolawole in becoming the next Governor of Ekiti state.

At around 5 pm, The PDP Governorship candidate arrived the party Secretariat where he appreciates all the members who have been waiting for him for their support and patience in receiving him. In his speech, He promised to deliver the mandate who was stolen by APC in 2018 Election and promise to restored PDP Back in power in 2022 in Ekiti state.

He states further that he has been working in making sure all aggrieved parties come together as one and work together to deliver Ekiti state to PDP. Also said, the National Working Committee has mandated a nine-man committee led by David mark in resolving any issues in PDP in Ekiti state. Promised that all aggrieved members will be recognised and appealed to them to join the working force to dethrone APC in the upcoming election.
