Bisi Fayemi is After My Life~ Journalist cries for help

A female journalist whose life is at threat writes a petition to Amnesty International and the public for safety, crying for help because her life is in danger.

According to her write-up on 29th of November 2022 which was received by exponent-plus news at exactly 4:52pm Nigeria time, she said, “I am a female journalist, Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi, In Nigeria. I write this petition to the Amnesty International Nigeria, to help in granting protection to myself and family, as I am currently being harassed, intimidated and threatened by the former governor of my state: Dr. Kayode Fayemi, his wife: Bisi Adeleye Fayemi and their brother-in-law: Demola Obanise.

I have been receiving calls from strange numbers and even the Department of State Services, DSS, has also been detailed to get me arrested by all means because I recently published on social media, a case of money laundering, involving Bisi Adeleye Fayemi, the wife of the former governor, in Dubai, in 2018. The case was covered up after she was arrested in Dubai and because they enjoyed immunity, while in office (2018-2022) they could not be prosecuted, for all corruption, money laundering, improper handling of state’s finances, diversion of billions of Naira of public funds, human rights abuses and other criminal activities, which the duo were involved in.

My crime was being consistent in my criticism of the former governor and his wife, on how they were running the state, since 2018.

I received a phone call from one Mr. Williams from the Department of State Security (DSS) on 15th November, 2022, asking me to report to their office as regards a petition brought to their office by one Demola Obanise (Kayode Fayemi’s brother-in-law).

Since then, my mobile line is being tracked, and I’m being trailed by hoodlums and hired thugs, to which I no longer feel safe in my state and using my mobile lines has become a problem.

Recently, former Governor Fayemi had mobilized security agencies and some disgruntled members to impeach a democratically elected Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan, as a Journalist, I again, raised my voice against the illegality, this and several other human rights abuses, are things I have always been speaking against, and that is why I am now being hounded, by agents of the former governor.

I, therefore, call on Amnesty International, to investigate these allegations, come to my aid and ensure that my family and I are protected against Kayode Fayemi, his wife Bisi Fayemi, and Demola Obanise.

Amnesty International, should also ensure that they are prosecuted for their corruption, illegalities, flagrant abuse of office, human rights abuses, harassment, intimidation, and threat to my life.

This plea became necessary because the security agencies in my country, Nigeria, are compromised. They will exonerate the guilty because of their statuses and will rather punish the innocent, for challenging corruption, illegalities, and criminalities”

She hereby pleads to the public and Amnesty International to come to her aid.

JANDOR blasts Lagos State Government for shutting markets for APC campaign rally tomorrow

The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Dr. Abdul- Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) has condemned the plan of the ruling APC to shut down all major markets in the state tomorrow as a ploy to force the traders in all the market to attend their planned campaign rally.

It was reported earlier today that leaders of the major markets in the state cried out in reaction to the directive of the state government that the markets will be shut because of the APC Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign scheduled to hold tomorrow, Saturday, 26th November 2022 at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere area of the state.

The marketers’ associations leaders also decried the threat issued by some agents of the state government and the MC Oluomo-led Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee to victimize any trader who fails to attend the planned rally.

JANDOR described the said action of the state government as insensitive, callous, barbaric, and criminal. He stated that the traders are free citizens of the country whose right to do business is protected by the law of the nation. And that any act to intimidate or threaten them to attend a programme against their wish is criminal and inhuman.

The Governorship hopeful warned the state government to desist from unleashing further pains on the people of the state who are barely surviving the harsh economic condition of the country which the bad governance of the APC at the federal and state levels has plucked the nation into. He, therefore, advised the state government to rescind from going ahead with the wicked plan of denying the helpless traders their daily bread for tomorrow’s APC rally.

He also enjoined the traders and market association leaders to stand their ground by refusing to be bamboozled by the outgoing clueless government into attending the show of shame planned for tomorrow.

JANDOR appealed to all the good people of the state to keep hope alive as they endure the remaining days of the inept APC-led administration. He assured them that their vote for the PDP in the 2023 general elections will birth the much-desired breath of fresh air in the governance of the state.

I’m Coming To Govern With Empathy- JANDOR

The Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party electioneering campaign has been intensified under the leadership of governorship candidate Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran with the ongoing 245-ward tour in Lagos state.

Meeting with the Ndigboamaka Progressive Markets Association which comprising 58 major markets in the state, Dr. Adediran promised to govern with empathy if elected in 2023 General Elections.

The meeting was held at the association’s secretariat in FESTAC in Amuwo Odofin on the 27th of Oct. In the FESTAC town.

Visiting Amuwo odofin, on day 9 of his campaign, it’s an additional effort in his campaign as  Amuwo odofin is known as the political university of PDP in Lagos state according to the Hon. Anjus Babatunde the chairman of Lagos Local govt. publicity secretary Amuwo-Odofin is known as the Igbo ethnic residential area who had been devoting their vote for PDP over the years.

Dr. Adediran made it known in his statement that it’s only the PDP that has given rear privileges for other ethnic groups to be part of the electoral process in representing their tribe in governance in Lagos state, being the fact that they have produced the House of Representative and Councilor in the axis.

Moreover, he said Igbo is the power hub of internal generation revenue (IGR) in Lagos state, knowing fully well that Igbo has taken a high position in the business transaction that brings money to the purse of Lagos state.

Without Igbo, Lagos can’t be an economic power hub in West Africa, being the fact that they are in every part of the country.

Jandor salutes the commitment of the Ndigboamaka in Lagos state despite the harsh conditions of the economic situation of the country, especially, Lagos. He mentions the irrational way at which Lagos state government treats the market people that boost the economy of the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate emphasized that his government is to show empathy to the Lagosians and everyone living or transacts in the state

He states further, “where you make money, you don’t threaten the people basically because one person had committed a certain offense,”

He said, rather than close their livelihood business, he would deal with whoever committed the offense” likewise, whoever wants to cripple the economy of the state will be dealt with not the whole market.

The resolute governorship candidate stated emphatically that when the Ladipo market got fire, he took his time to visit the market to identify with them just to know where the problem lies and the solution to their problems in the environment he then promised that if he becomes the governor of Lagos state, he will make sure that there is a fire station in the market to prevent further occurrence of fire outbreaks.

The Indigbo Amaka promised to throw weight behind the PDP candidate and promised to give him the massive support needed to win the upcoming election in Lagos state.

He then takes his tour to FESTAC Town in Amuwo-Odofin. Says, Lagosians deserve to have a proactive leader who doesn’t need the approval of anybody before they could reap the dividend of democracy.

He states further that his priority in FESTAC is to address the issue of water, roads, and security, which he knows are the major problem of people living in that environment.

During his address, Dr. Adediran promised the government of total inclusiveness. He said Lagosian deserves a better standard of living with the humongous wealth embedded in Lagos.

Jandor, Funke Akindele escape death

The Campaign train of the Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party – PDP was attacked today Sunday 23rd of Oct. 2022 at exactly 5:45pm while returning from visitation to members of the party at the Ikoga Junction area of Badagry Local Government area Lagos.

The chairman of the media and publicity Hon. Hakeem Amode stated in his press release that the attack led to injuries of several members of Jandor’s entourage and presume as at the time the news was released

Moreover, he said that one of the news reporters is in critical condition in an undisclosed hospital while those injured were being treated and vehicles were critically damaged

He stated that the thugs that attacked the campaign train were shouting “APC,” while shooting guns and using dangerous weapons.

According to him, concern had been raised over the threat to use APC sponsored thugs to attack the campaign programs of the PDP Gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran-JANDOR recently and he would like to state categorically that it would not deter the determination of the PDP candidate to campaign for the next election and win the election come March 11, 2023.

He then called on the Commissioner of Police of Lagos state and the Area Commander of Police in the Badagry division to do everything possible to fish out those behind the attack and that disciplinary actions should be taken against them to forestall such occurrences in the future and to instill confidence in PDP members that they will be protected during this campaign period.

He strongly warned “those that are hell bent on causing trouble or planning to disrupt the campaign and elections that the PDP will not fold our arms and watch as we will resist all forms of intimidation.”

Youth empowerment is my major goal~ Segun Adewale (Aeroland)

Preparing for the 2023 general election, The People’s Democratic Party, PDP kick-starts its electioneering campaign as it hit the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos in a ground style.

On Wednesday, 19th of Oct. At exactly 10:15 hours of the day.

The candidate of PDP Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as (Jandor) and his Deputy, Funke Akindele stair into the water of the campaign for ward tour from 11 wards in Alimosho LGA of Lagos.

The campaign started from the Akowonjo roundabout with a multitude coming out in mass giving solidarity support and welcoming the governorship candidate of PDP and his entourage with singing, dancing with trumpet and music showing their love for the choice of PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 election.

In an interview with the Lagos west Senatorial candidate, Mr. Segun Adewale Known as Aeroland spoke with our media team about his plan and preparation for the 2023 election.

He said, he was delighted with the love shown by the people of Alimosho despite the hunger and inflation ravage in Nigeria, he never expected such a massive turnout. He said, this shows that people are tired of APC government in Nigeria, and they are ready to change the narrative in Lagos, especially in Lagos west.

Speaking further, Mr. Segun Adewale (Aeroland) made his plan known that his major focus is youth development and empowerment. He said, if crime and unemployment has to reduce in society, the youth development must be seriously taken into consideration as they are the pillar and future of the country.

In his statement, he said, he has really been motivated and believes in the new electoral act which has put the Bimodal Voters Accreditation system (BVAS) in place for the 2023 election. Says over the years the result has been rigging right from the collation centers and while fighting in court, it is the APC judge that will preside over the case which has been the norm of APC winning pattern but, with the BVAS is in place, which has given the candidate and the electorate the assurance of getting their choice of candidate in power, true democracy has come to stay in Nigeria.

JANDOR did the impossible getting here, he will do it again and defeat Sanwo-Olu and all his godfathers, both internal and external- Lagos PDP

The Lagos State chapter of the PDP has reacted to the purported endorsement of Sanwo-Olu for a second term by Governor Nyesom Wike of River state during his visit to Lagos state.

The party in a statement by the Publicity Secretary, Hakeem Amode said he would have expressed disappointment if Wike had attended any event with a speaking role without his usual rant of a drowning man who will clutch at a straw.

“I only wonder how Governor Wike, who didn’t support JANDOR and at the same time, couldn’t stop him from picking the party ticket in Lagos despite his supposed might within the PDP, would apportion to himself the decision of generality of Lagosians in the forthcoming election.

While we won’t but acknowledge Governor Wike’s developmental strides in Rivers State which has had an influx of other state chief executives including Sanwo-Olu for commissioning, it is worrisome that Governor Wike will call Sanwo-Olu a performer without asking how many times he has invited anyone to Lagos for the commission of ordinary borehole in his almost four years in office as Governor.

“My dear Governor and Leader, we promise to render Sanwo-Olu jobless and send him to the club of you former Governors next year. Only God, who has seen JANDOR and Lagos PDP this far, and the generality of Lagosians can determine his fate at the polls in 2023, not your endorsement.”

We will continue to sell our breath of fresh air agenda to Lagosians with the promise of a better tomorrow.

Lagos needs a breath of fresh air!

Hakeem Amode
